Hi again. I'm looking for recommendations for studio apartments/rooms for rent in Patong with the usual modcons like aircon, Wifi, hot shower, cable TV, etc. A microwave would be nice but not essential. Preferably in a quiet-ish area. Budget around 6,000 to 10,000Bt a month. Thanks!

I tried but I just can't comment on this one. Nice, quiet-ish, Patong ??? are we on the same page or is this a troll ? An oxymoron at the very least.

6,000, ? could be 600. I wouldn't live there, even for free.

Sorry today's events may have prejudiced my comments but they were basicly about dealing with Patong and it's populace. " Patong, " A pimple on a boil on the arsehol_e of the world wai.gif

Does the town fold up when the sign falls down ? Hope so.

As flightest suggested Nanai Rd will be your best option..............but for a quietìsh option you will probably have to fork out over 10.000 a month to get something decent.Good luck.

I like Phuket in general but this morning I've decided to scrap my plans to chill here for a few months - just not worth the money. Back to Chiang Mai for me. Thanks all for your tips and suggestions.

Patong is not really Phuket. It is in the Province of Phuket though. Why don't you look around outside of Patong? There a big island out there!

Good move..i have lived both places for years at a time, and for me also..soon back to C/M..much nicer place and people altogether..

The beaches?? Small consideration now...smog in C/M ?..no denying thats a curse at times, but the far better infrastructure, friendlier people [by far!!] and the general lack of 'bad goings on' that phuket has increasingly shown, but is not anywhere so prevailent in C/M ..

Good call mate....

Actually, I like Phuket and the southern Thais and in some ways find them more sincere than the northerners and northeasterners. It's just that on my budget, I will get better value for my money in Chiang Mai than in Patong. And yes, I'm aware that Patong may not be representative of the rest of Phuket but I really enjoyed my 10-day stay there.
