Tot Download And Upload Speed

Featured Replies

I live in the sticks in Mahasarakham province , a small farming village

There s no choice for the internet as TOT are the only company supplying a line , so despite all the problems i have with them i have no other choice .

This morning my download speed was .36mbps when i reported it , this evening the download speed s .17mbps and upload .65MBPS so i have reported it again , the Maximum speed we pay for 4MB which they say is the maximum we can have because of where we live .

Does anyone know of any other way i can get a more steady internet supply , i do have a Nokia mobile which i use when wego to hotels but that is slow also not quick enough for home.

I wonder how you are testing to get these figures?

With a 4mb/s (megabits per second) line 0.36mb/s does sound slow,

or should that read 0.36mB/s (Megabytes per second)

which really means 3.6mb/s pretty close to what you are paying for?

Whether the B is small (bits) or large (Bytes) makes a world of difference

I have just checked the speed again on Thai visa and Download is 2.62mbps and 0.36mbps download .

I had a call from the Tot Engineer and he said that 4MB is the maximum i can have because a live a long way from there?

this is a common recurrence for me and i thought there may be a dongle i can buy to solve the problem but i still need the TOT land line to receive my tv programmes via Dream box , so it looks like i just have to put up with it .
