January 16, 200620 yr There are plenty of businesses out here for sale, best bet is if you can do it financially, is to come out here, settle in and look around. Be carefull of some business sale agencies and they sell businesses here at rather strange asking prices compared to success or income. Best to look and do the ground slog yourself. One particular business broker screwed up a friends work visa and company registration for him to no end. That same brokerage also has not answered emails for enquiries from at least 5 or 6 enquiries that I know of. Stay away from bars and gogos if your a newbie, they make money, depending on how they are run , where they are and by who. But do not get into it until you have lived here and seen how to do it properly and it is not a novelty to you.
January 16, 200620 yr mate ill tell you now its not easy to find a place, i stayed there for 9 months looking you either find a good place and the lease is crap or you find a good lease and the place is crap and most of the locations they show you are just a joke!! In the end i bought 3 condos and currently rent them out, but had to come back home and work for a bit longer!! not happy about that but needs must for the moment. good luck in your search you will need it !! most of them are dogs!!! expats that have realised they have made a big mistake and are looking to get out!!! Anyway good luck again..
