My Thai wife bought some land in Thailand in February of this year. She paid 3.6M baht for 6 rai. We are thinking of selling it soon and project it will sell at 1M per rai, or 6M baht. I understand all the taxes except the withholding. I see 1% or 5-37%. I doesn’t make sense. This was bought in her personal name, there is not corporation or business. Can you estimate the taxes we can expect to pay? Thanks for any assistance you can offer.
