Due to the upcoming Buddhist holiday in Thailand, sale of alcohol is prohibited from midnight 1st August to midnight 3rd August

Addition from the other post:

RT@RichardBarrow: All government offices and places like Immigration & the Post Office will be closed on Thursday AND Friday

This is from the news section.

It will also mean that Samui Immigration will be closed, for anyone needing to renew there visa.... They are not forgiving on being late even because of a holiday...

According to my calendar there is another holiday coming up on Monday 13 th August as well....wink.png

typical i bet the bars are closed i don't even want a drink

Me: "Do you sell beer?"

Shopkeeper: Yes, if you take it and drink it in your bungalow."

Me: "I don't stay in a bungalow."

Shopkeeper: "It's okay."

I buy beer...

It's a well known fact all mom and pop shops sell beer

And ironically , if there is a party at the temple during thi holiday , they will be selling beer there !

There seemed to be a suspicious amount of people drinking out of disposable coffee cups at certain bars today
