Uk Citizenship Waiting Times ?

Wife and kids put in UK citizenship application through local checking service at the end of May this year. Anybody else put in this year and has had their notification letter back. Just interested to know if it's been quicker than the six months for anyone ? Rather than the suggested time they say on the website !

Seems to be about four months at the moment. Should be next month!!

All applications for citizenship are subject to enquiries to ensure that the statutory requirements have been satisfied. Because of these enquires, we anticipate that applications may take up to six months to complete. Some applications may be dealt with more quickly and some may take longer, depending on the nature of the enquiries to be carried out

And on how quickly they get a response to their enquiries.

My figure of four months is based on information on another forum that I check occasionally going back to when my wife was waiting for her ILR! It seems pretty consistent at the moment.
