I'm a bit of a Honda fan but must say the new Accord looks old even before it's released.

All cars in this segment seem to have a similar look....boring.

No the Hyundai Sonata looks very good, same size and price.......... only big difference is much longer warranted + a lot more kit..... The new Volvo looks different + 10 airbags for the same price..

Yes Honda and Toyota are looking more the same with each face lift

I concur! Very very boring.

I'm not impressed personally. Will the 2013 Ford Fusion be available in Thailand?

The last Ford Mondeo in Thailand was 1998, cannot see the 2013 Mondeo/Fusion being sold here

So say Thais do not like or buy hatch backs, there is not a lot of options for mid size Thai built hatch here so who can tell

Mondeo/Fusion is a size above the Focus and Mazda 3........... there again maybe a 'grey' import @ 2 + million ??

That's not the only big difference. Depreciation is another.

Do agree though, it's a great looking car. If they started introducing some smaller cars onto the market, Thais might start warming to the brand, as they have done in Europe, and the depreciation problem might start going away. Until then, unless you either plan to keep the car for many years, or unless you are rich enough to not have to worry about the money you'll lose, it's a hard car to buy.

Better include Mazda as well now as Toyota have just released pictures of their version of the 3.

I luv Audi

from Siam with Luv

For sure I have an older A6, but the price new here.......... A4 = 2.7 million and the A6 = 3.7 million..... but a good buy 2nd hand after all that import tax has gone it makes it very little more than a Thai built car of the same year.

And here are a couple reviews of the newest Honda Accord:

http://www.caranddri...ual-test-review

http://www.marketwat...k=mw_home_kiosk

The Asian market 2013 Accord won't look like the North American market MY13 seen here, but it won't be radically different either ;) It will be following the new Civic's lead in that it'll be sightly smaller than the outgoing model though (Honda's new strategy for improving FE).

Also, no V6 for TH of course, but we will get at least the basic IMA Hybrid version, and quite possibly the plugin version too - but that might not be until later down the track in price-sensitive Thailand. Honda's revised IMA promises to best the Hybrid Camry - let's just hope they give it a suspension tune in character with the class (i.e. not hard as a rock like the current rev), and a whole lot better sound deadening than the current version too ;)

Best choice would still be the Nissan Teana :)

Accord is Fugly, Teana looks ok I guess but if you can wait a little bit longer and have sufficient funds (1.6 - 1.7 mln) you might want to consider the Mazda 6 Sky Activ 2.2D which is planned to be imported from Malaysia some time this year.

This is the best looking, fun-to-drive and refined car in this price bracket.

Top Gear Philippines rates it 19/20:

sjonburi, I hope you are right about Mazda introducing the 6 to LOS.

Saw these on a recent trip to NZ and they look good.

Toyota and Honda's styling departments could certainly use some competition.

Yea, Mazda 6 looks great. I hope it will come to Thailand.... But another waiting and waiting and waiting....

Good things may come to those who wait..

Stuff a 3 L Diesel engine in that Accord, and I'll have a second look at it

2.2 i-DTEC 180 HP / 380 NM will also do ;) The Accord in Europe looks so much better than the local version..
