Is There A Caching Proxy With A Thai Ip Address?

Featured Replies

Mods - this is not a question about using proxy servers to break Thai law (or Burmese law) :)

I've recently moved to work in Yangon, Myanmar, and generally have no issues about internet access.

But I do have a specific problem with Craigslist dot org.

I regularly post on Craigslist, but now I find that my posts are being rejected by CL because my IP address is shown to be outside of Thailand. CL operates a weird policy whereby they assume that if someone is posting about a product or service in Thailand, than the poster must also be located in Thailand - otherwise how can they offer the service or product?

The only way for me to get around this annoying problem is to use a Thai IP address proxy or caching server.

Does anyone know of a free (or even paid-for) caching proxy service in Thailand? Can one access the caching proxies of the main ISP providers if one is not a customer of them??

Thanks

Simon

Why don't you set up one of your hotel computers up and remote to it from myanma when you need it. For security one of your wives could just boot it up when you need it. That way the computer you are actually using is in Thailand. It will even give the location as Thailand which helps with transactions.
