City Hospitals Bangkok For Inr Tests

Featured Replies

I need to have an INR for the warfarin I take. I went to Bumrungrad, but it would cost about $50.00, which I think is very expensive. Which city hospital near Soi 4 would be a better option for me to check out so that I can have it done for a lower price?

Near Soi 4, I don't know of any. But try St. Louis on Sathorn which is an easy BTS trip away.

P.S> I have edited the title so that people can see what you mean, there are many TV members who get regular INRs so may attract more specific responses.

Thank you Sheryl.

Find just a lab, much cheaper than a hospital or clinic.

Am not that familiar with Bangkok but here in Pattaya I had a lab that would do it for 400 THB and have heard about another one, less convenient to me, that only wants 300 THB for the INR test

I use the past tense since I now have my own INR machine

I thought about getting my own INR machine. In the meantime, how do I find a trustworthy lab?

trust the ones that dont rip you off, pathlab bkk seems to have a good name, price them first,if your like me hate the needle see how they perform,i have used the same one in korat for 3yrs,very clean, professional and know how to take a sample.

Just look for one that states that they will give you the results immediately

They all use the same type of machine to do the test in front of you, If you have had INR tests in the past, it is the same proceedure so you should be able to watch the machine read out your INR level. The main expense are the test strips since they are in effect an electric type of ciruit that channels the blood drop so that it can be read by the machine

Thank you. Back home I remember the cost of the machine and strips were expensive. Where would be a good place to purchase a machine and strips here in Bangkok?

I don't think it is possible to buy here in Thailand (at least not in Pattaya)

Your best bet would be via Amazon US (cannot find it on the UK site)

Here is the url for the US site:

http://www.amazon.co...U2G/ref=lh_ni_t

You might try a SEARCH here at TV, since I think that the subject was covered in another thread and it may have a local source for the machine
