jpinx Posted September 3, 2012 Share Posted September 3, 2012 As someone who has been an foreigner living in almost 20 countries over the last 40 years, I'd say the OP has got it about right. But bear this in mind - the guys who never set foot outside their own country (more than 50% of USA citizens don't have a passport apparently) can still be miserable at home and complain about police corruption, bad services, poor maintenance, etc, etc. While a guy living in a totally foreign land can be as happy as a sandboy.
