Elderly Man, 82, Dies After Motorcycle Collides with Pickup Truck in Lopburi
Picture from responders. An 82-year-old man lost his life following a road collision in Lopburi province on 14 April. The elderly man was riding a red and black Yamaha motorcycle when he reportedly pulled out in front of an oncoming pickup truck, resulting in a fatal collision. Police Lieutenant Colonel Bancha Chobtham, deputy investigator at Phatthana Nikhom Police Station, along with rescue volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation, responded to the incident at the intersection of Soi 13, Road 4, Village No. 8, in the Chong Sarika sub-district of Phatthana Nikhom District. Upon arrival, officers found the motorcycle lying overturned down a roadside bank. Nearby was the body of the deceased man, later identified as Mr. Sanga, a local resident of Chong Sarika. His injuries were consistent with a high-impact crash, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Also present at the scene was a grey Isuzu pickup truck with minor damage to the front left bumper. The driver of the pickup, Mr. Udon 53, explained that he had been en route to Dong Phaya Yen Waterfall with family members when the collision occurred. According to his account, as he approached the intersection, the motorcycle suddenly emerged from Soi 13, cutting across his path. Despite attempting to brake, he was unable to stop in time and collided with the motorbike, causing both rider and vehicle to be thrown off the road. Authorities have since examined the scene and instructed rescue workers to transfer the deceased to Phatthana Nikhom Hospital for further procedures. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. -- 2025-04-15 -

I’ve backpacked through Southpark Asia for years… now i feel quietly pushed out
You don't need loads of money to stay in Thailand, Immigration don't seem to like passports with multiple stamps in out, just get the correct visa and all is good. Nothing wrong with backpacking on a budget, was a lot of fun for me, many have never done it so won't understand -
