Online Seeds In Thailand?

Online Seeds in Thailand?

I am looking for a website with a large selction of seeds in Thailand preferably in English.

A related question: If I order seeds from England or America will there be any Ag department import problems?

With your name, you may be familiar with East-west seeds

There are a number of seed companies that have websites in English, but I don't know of one that has an online order form. I think that you have to contact them.

I have ordered seeds from the UK a few times and they have always arrived with no problems.

Thank you for being so thoughtful and posting the links.

I left something out of my ealier post - I am looking for dye plants such as indigo etc..

Hello All, google is your friend!

"bulk indigo seeds for sale"

Find what you want, some even offer:

International Shipping

We offer a flat rate shipping charge of $12 for all international orders of up to 20 seed packs. For orders of over 20 seed packs, additional charges will apply. International orders ship within 7-10 business days from the day the order was placed. Once shipped, it can take up to 30 business days for delivery. Rice555,

Thank you for your response and yes, overseas suppliers can be helpful but I am searching for good sources inside of Thailand for dye plant seeds without much luck.

Even with the use of Google....

Hello TEW, if your still looking to buy here in LOS,

you might try www.seedquest.com , it has lists of

Co's by country, also there was at one time on that

list a contact for a LOS seed association.

Not all links work, don't use @'s, call them.

Have had several Lbs. of seed delevered here "listed"

as "garden supplies" with no problems. 95%

Rice555,

Thank you for the website which is very interesting with lots of information.

Not much (that I could find) about dye plant seeds in Thailand.

Probably I will order some seeds from overseas soon and then try locally through some governement or cooperative type organizations (I am in Chiang Mai).

Hello TEW, I look for seeds online and some basic info on indigo

as I had got a packet of seed from Native Seed dot Org. in AZ, US.

Well, good luck with your search.

Living in CM you might want to take a run out to Pun Pun farm in Mae Tang, they have an interesting 'east/west' organic farming operation that promotes seed saving. Arrive around 12noon and can join for the community lunch (leave donation) and meet like minded people. They have seeds on offer. Cheers

I like the part about meeting like minded people, I was part of a community garden when I lived in Hawaii and it was a lot fun.

By the way I think Mae Tang is beautiful, but just a bit too far out from Chiang Mai to be practical.

Thank you very much for the suggestion.

PS I just emailed the farm tehy sound like very nice people - lets see what develops.
