[Myanmar] Burma Fails To Fight Drugs: Us

A report by US President Barack Obama’s administration has accused Burma, along with Venezuela and Bolivia, of failing to meet their obligations in fighting the drug trade. The report said that three countries had “failed demonstrably†in their efforts over the past year and had been kept on Washington’s drug trafficking “black list.†The governments of Venezuela and Bolivia, which are led by leftist presidents highly critical of US foreign policy, rejected the charges. Burma, which has dramatically improved relations with the US over the past year, has not officially responded.—AP
