Looks good, what's your tire pressures and are you running nitrogen? You can get better grip and silence the tires a bit with an adjustment up or down depending.. Unless you're intent is to do more drifting and sound quick instead of actually being quick....

Tire pressures are 30 (nitrogen)... Not really interested in being quick, just want to have a laugh.

I don't know who's photos you're speaking of that are 30 years old but mine are just slightly over 10 years old and soon to have some new ones of my RX8 under construction..

very cool, where are you building it?

Stateside, they began a new class here in my absence over the last few years that now allows for these next step sports cars without a lot of mods and the RX8 is nearly ready out of the box with a ton of factory mods already so it should be a runner though it's classed even with older Vettes and Acura Integra type R's, I feel it's lighter (at least in the case of the Vette), more nimble and better braking so it should be able to out do them performance wise, anyway you look at it it should be a lot of fun, reasonably cost competition.. Anyway would love to talk more about it but it's off topic, not Thailand related and don't want to hijack Murf's thread..

ah, i thought you were building it here.

No way! For a dozen reasons, I'd never put that sort of money into a car there not the least of which is the lack of track safety and size.. But an 8 there!! Prohibitively and nonsensically expensive to acquire, build and maintain and doesn't have a class it can compete in in it's mostly stock form as it'd dominate and their classes are either too simplistic and cheap or overly expensive and complicated..

This one was a practice day, no competition. 600 baht for the day including tent (group booking) Go all day until you are bored, or in my case, until your petrol runs out :D

There is another event this Sunday at Patumthani Speedway 500 for tent and 200 baht entry fee per class. (unsure how many runs you get)

2 Weeks ago there was a day at Minburi, 1500 for Sat/Sun - Sat practice, Sunday competition.

Yeah, for a gymkhana event coming up soon.

Fortuner in a Gymkhana? cheesy.gif

Only if it's fitted with caster's on the roof to deal with the inevitable, after rapid direction changes! thumbsup.gif

Maybe not, but the car apparently has generated an interest, so it's the star, ride it's popularity... It matters little who the star is as long as one is getting notoriety that's all that matters to supporters to get their product or services noticed and public en mass.

Nice surrounds... Nice control... I hear music, was there car sounds as well? Or did you dub in the music instead since the car sounds weren't playing?
