Hi

I need to import some products from Australia; I have to pay with AUS$ but I have only THB.

One option is to use the Credit Card; option that I have been using till now, the second option is to use a Bank (Letter of Credit)....or any other method.

Anybody with experience in importing can assist placing me in a better path?. Many thanks.

I suppose you could cut a deal with an Aussie with funds at home for Thai baht on a rate beneficial to you both cutting out the banksters, however not sure how that would sit with the bookwork.

Thanks for your reply. I have planned this but I would prefer to do it in the formal way as my girlfriend has to learn to do it by herself.

The way that you propose would be ideal for both parties as I would be able to get the AUS$ as I need them and for the other person get the THB at the best rate. If I do not get a reasonable option in the formal way I will have to seek for the proposed one. Thanks.
