Second Anti-Govt Rally Planned At Government House: Thailand

yes of course do organizations that are against corruption always attract the same people who are against corruption. Not very surprising.

How dare someone take their trough!

Isn't that what this whole political crap fight is all about. Two rich and powerful groups fighting over who gets their turn at the trough?

Pretty much, but 1 side were smart enough (or some would say good-hearted enough) to empower the poor, and about time too.

"good hearted" :cheesy:

They haven't empowered the poor. They control them they same as they have been controlled for centuries.

Quite wrong. They are now, for the first time in Thai history, aware that their vote is the key to opening parliament's doors.

But they're still being controlled by the poo-yai's and rich red shirt business people.

Obviously you don't go from being politically illiterate to fluent in 10 years, but thankfully TS started the long overdue process.

No it is the same as always, they think they can't change anything with their vote, so they vote for these who give them 500 Baht NOW.

Sometimes I even thing they are right....

"Tul said his multicoloured-shirt group and the allies should have a clear idea by late next week of how to move against the government." The proper way to "move against the government" in a democratic society is to run against the seated officials in the next election. The current government was voted in and the only proper way to remove them is to vote them out. The courts are certainly friendly to the anti-government folks; therefore, if they have any real evidence of corruption they can always take the matter to the courts. It appears to me to be a large jerk off rally.

The proper way for parties to run elections is without full scale vote buying.

So if you buy your way into power instead of democratic elections you should not whine if pro democracy groups want to oust you.

Pitak Siam, Yellow shirts, Multi-coloured shirts....they are all the same bunch that turn out every time. Same inbreeds, different name. Take a look at the key speakers, all yellow & multis. And yes who was right, front & centre...no other than the wonderfully insane Dr DNA Tul. If you don't know about this freak, please do some research.

You could probably replace a few names and say the same thing about any red shirt rally, couldn't you?

Red Shirts, UDD, Men in Black, DAAD.......they are all the same bunch that turn out every time. Same inbreeds, different name. Take a look at the key speakers, all Red Shirts.... And yes who was right, front & centre...no other than the wonderfully insane Dr Weng. If you don't know about this freak, please do some research.

Red Shirts, UDD & DAAD have never claimed to be different organisations. The MiB, well let's not go there, but the UDD certainly doesn't claim to be aligned with them. So that makes your comeback look a bit silly.

Also, while Weng may have extreme political views (to some) he certainly doesn't go around preaching medical nonsense, in an attempt to win favour with the overly nationalistic.

"my comeback" looks silly because it copied your silliness

The freak stated so much freaky stuff, it called for the neologism....

Weng-ism.

p.s. do your research on that as well as the countless claims of different factions of the Red Shirts, especially whenever it's convenient for one group wanting to pawn the blame on some other faction. Same with UDD, DAAD, PTV and all the other alphabet soup organization names they've called themselves for seven years.

yes right to compare them is silly. On one side people who fight for democracy and against corruption. A wide mix of society but mostly middle class educated Bangkok people.

On the other side people who are paid from Thaksin to bring organized buses full of people to demonstrate for their dear leader at 300 Baht per day (now with the increase minimum salary the may need to pay more)

You & nobody really knows the extent and perpetrators of vote buying, so claiming one side is worse than the other is pointless. You simply can't get accurate statistics on this. Claiming that 'my brother-in=law said....' simply doesn't cut it. PT tried time & time again to have independent international observers to oversee the election & voting, but the coalition refused it (along with Preah temple as well of course).

Also please explain how paying money can make someone inside a secure, private voting booth cross the name of a particular candidate or party.

Don't pretend to be silly....It is well known that everyone gets his money.....It is complete in the open and people speak about how much they got from what party. The Democrats may have some minor cases but they have no billionaire who can pay that. And it wouldn't make much sense as the South vote for them anyhow and Isaan wouldn't vote for them even if they pay.

And you may or may not recall the discussion about banning mobile phones when voting (make a picture of what you voted) and when Thaksin made the voting boots so small so you can see what people vote for (proofed by the PAD showing what his wife voted (surely illegal to film that)).

Beside that it is a cultural thing that low educated people outside the centers are grateful for gifts.

Of course that is an educational thing.

But who is blocking the Democrats and the PAD to promote their views in the Northeast??

Well most is just facts that everyone knows who is living here for some years and understand some basic Thai. Most is also easily to find on internet....Ask Buchholz, I am sure he has the sources and proofs on hand for everything.

You should preface every thing you say with I am new and was told.

300 baht was the minimum salary many got more than that. But in the end they got it in the end as Thaksin saw he was just pouring money down the drain he stopped paying them.

Just to show you the type of people they were the government had to pay their way home. If you insist on backing a moral bankrupt figure you made a good choice.

In one of your posts you mentioned inbreeds.

Have you some personal experience with it? wai2.gif

If it was for a genuinely legitimate new member, I would be so inclined, but it's not.

You have to love how the uber rich have divided the country so well that going to crap university and earning 600 to 1000 gbp per month makes you middle class.

they have convinced the just above poor to look down on the really poor, simply because the just above poor can have a credit card, car finance and a mortgage and buy sk2 whitening instead of nivea sun cream.

Ever heard of being democratically elected and ousted because of massive corruption?

Funnily enough, it happened to the Democrats during their tenure in the early 90's under Chuan Leekpai.

That was back when they claimed they were against military rule, but had extremely close ties to the Burmese military Junta.

Actually it was around 1995. Mind you, really digging here where the last ten years have enough examples of politicians of ANY party to be on the take. Even restricting ourselves to just the last year we have enough TiT cases rolleyes.gif

I think it just makes it easier to raise that there is probably less than 10 politicians in Thailand who could survive a forensic investigation if their finances.

They are all at it.

Well you should mention that to those who constantly abuse the reds, and the Shinawatra family including the current PM
