BANGKOK, Oct 30 - A key Red Shirt leader today warned the government to keep a close watch on the moves of the anti-government 'Pitak Siam' group, claiming it is determined to topple the Yingluck administration within two months.

Key United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) leader Jatuporn Prompan said he learned that Pitak Siam intends to topple the government within two months. He also urged the government to beware and closely monitor the group's moves.

Mr Jatuporn made his remark as Pitak Siam--'Protecting Siam'--led by retired Gen Boonlert Kaewprasit rallied Sunday at the Royal Turf Club in the capital's Nang Loeng area, with its leader claiming as many as 20,000 protesters joined the event.

As Mr Jatuporn missed gaining a ministerial post in the latest cabinet reshuffle, the Red Shirt leader said he has already talked with the premier and both have a good understanding.

Mr Jatuporn said he can work without a political post and will continue working for the Pheu Thai Party and the Red Shirt movement.

Another key Red Shirt leader Natthawut Saikua, now incoming deputy commerce minister, said the Pitak Siam rally is a sign of the return of a movement aiming to topple the government.

The minister urged the Red Shirt supporters to show their force to protect the government, while those who have been accused or verbally attacked in the rally should also protect their rights by filing legal suits against the protest leaders.

Another Red Shirt leader, Kwanchai Praipana, earlier threatened to mobilise hundred thousands of UDD supporters to protest in parallel to the Pitak Siam group. Mr Natthawut however commented there is no need to intensify the situation as that would be the anti-government group’s way. (MCOT online news)

Protecting SIAM?

Aren't they a bit late for that?

Or is this just one of those "it was all way better back then"- retro conservative groups, that will bring Thailand anywhere...but forward?!

Jutuporn says

"As Mr Jatuporn missed gaining a ministerial post in the latest cabinet reshuffle, the Red Shirt leader said he has already talked with the premier and both have a good understanding."

In the short version he was saying he knows his place.

Thaksins court jester.

Two months would be nice but I don't see it happening. 20,000 protestors defiantly sent a message to the Government. They will start making small changes. No more Amnesty bills for Thaksin all though he will continue to for the most part run the show. Yingluck is starting to show some spine to bad she has no knowledge to go with it.

It's been Thailand for long enough. It's about time they renamed the country Kootchie kootchie. Let's see who's brave enough to lead the Kootchie kootchie coup.

Chalerm with his 3 month deadlines, so Jatuporn has to come in under that with a 2 month unsubstantiated rumour. How long beforre he does something daft as " no one would act on the rumour I told them about". Shouldn't be long now

Be fair......he has proof (at least that's what he's said in the past).

Mr Jatuporn said he can work without a political post and will continue working for the Pheu Thai Party and the Red Shirt movement.

Jataporn is already acting in his pre arranged unofficial ministerial post as co-ordinator between the government via a direct link with it,s true leader aka Thaksin and his / their red shirt lackeys.

He always has of course, but now he is paid a huge ministerial salary plus a pre enhanced mega bonus in recognition of his sacrifices and agreeing to forego an official position elsewhere whistling.gif

In doing so his benefactor can use his Servient Subordinate to rally his / their red shirt lackeys as and when they are needed to spread their infamous version of non democratic chaos / diversions ect. ect.

They in turn get well rewarded with a pittance of remuneration for their assistance and gullibility.

Not forgetting their rations of firewater aka cheap Lao whiskey ect. to keep them happy and guarantee maximum disorder, violent confusion ( red shirt style ) and intimidation.

The lines now in bold in the initial sentences are of course a part quote from the OP and failed to show as I intended it to in the first posting. ( 12 )

Sorry for any unintentional confusion re this exclusion and I hope it,s acceptable to modify it this way.

I am not sure who is the more, ' left behind'' of the two, the reporter assigned this inview or Jatuporn. As already mentioned, the Nation needs to put him on the 'ignore' list, along with several others.

In fact, it would be nice to pick up a newspaper which had no interviews or photo shoots, without questions directed and answered, relating to the many questionable projects started, proposed, stalled and justification of same.

II have proof that in fact the Pitak Siam intends to topple the government within 49.5 days, their aim is to replace the PM with a bowl of custard, have a nuclear reactor in every home, guaranteed no flooding within the next 127 years and a few yard of rope for every student. this was told to me by my good friend who's initials start with % and was once within 2 foot of Budda whilst wearing nothing but a banana.

Got to be true then ,..

Agreed its the only way to stifle them until they realize the way to get into media and earn whats offered to them is to be even more extreme, Hard to imagine more extreme but i hav,nt noticed any borders till now.

"whilst wearing nothing but a banana"

And bananas are yellow (except for unripe or over-ripe ones), which proves conclusively that they are part of a secret military-plot, to invade Cambodia and impose 'true democracy' on the freedom-loving inhabitants, thus causing world rice-prices to soar ! Quod Erat Demonstrandum ! laugh.png

Remember, this is the same guy who discovered that the Democrats were responsible for the floods last year, seriously.

Brings back sweet memories of the 2010 anti-government mob led by a renegade officer and a fugitive criminal.

Wasn't only 2 or 3 years ago a non elected groip were trying to overthrow an legally elected government in Thailand?

The name will come to ,e if I think hard about it.

Got it.

They were called UDD or something like that and the government of the country at the time actually allowed it.

It seems as though the Red Shirts, UDD and PTP seem to have very short and selective memories as they did exactly the same thing.

Exactly. But when for months, before any violence, protesters were asking for new elections - not a completely illegitimate request since it followed a party dissolution and (unlike in the UK) individual MPs "convinced" to cross the aisle after they had been voted in wearing the opposite colors - the response here was that asking for new elections, was undemocratic, unlawful, etc.... now Seh Ai actually asks for a "coup d'etat" and it's perfectly ok with the same posters. like I said....amazing TV.

I wonder how he came by this startling information - perhaps he read their press release or the article in The Nation or BP.

More likely somebody who can read told him.

And the other wanke_r Kwanchai is going to raise 100,000 protestors? clap2.gif Go for it. The sooner the better and the sooner there is a confrontation to remove the reds, the UDD and the PTP the better. Bring on the coup.

The gov don't want to be too heavily associated with Jatuporn because of the violence he probably will unleash.

The fact that this violence will be condoned by the gov and Mr J well-paid for it, while the brown shirts, didn't hitler have them, arrest anyone who's not red, doesn't seem to have ocured to anyone.

All part of the bad chess-player in another country's game. Surely some-one in Thailand can see thru this peurile strategy.
