Some friends of mine up in Chiang Mai are running a trail fun run next week.

The Uphill Struggle!

As with many of our races - the only way is up!

Join us for a 13km Trail Fun Run & over night camp out from Chiang Mai, Huay Tung Tao to Doi Pui.

When: Saturday 10th November 2012

What: trail run, from Huay Tung Tao to Doi Pui Camping Ground. More details of the trail here on Garmin Connect.

Distance: 13.38 km

Elevation: 357 -1509 m.

Meeting point: is here, approximately 10km out of Chiang Mai city. Starting area where the race will begin is at the foot of the mountain by the National Park lake of “Huay Tung Tao”. It costs 20 THB to access the area by car. We will not return here after the finish. Post-race awards and "celebrations" which may follow will take place at the camping site near the finish line.

When: noon

Camping: one tent per athlete but you are more than welcome to bring a guest. (cold) showers and toilets are available. Having a shower after the race is highly encouraged - we will even give you a free beer for that.

Parking: overnight parking is not recommended near the starting area at Huay Tung Tao. We have arranged transportation from the finish area to the City at 4.30pm on race day and 10am on Sunday. Team vehicles, race support, and spectators can also park up at the camping area near the finish venue before or during the race on Saturday.

Entry fee: 350 THB per person / 450 THB per person with one night stay in a tent.
