Treatment for botched enlargements

The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Police General Hospital has set up a special team to treat patients suffering from complications after undergoing penis-enlargement injections.

Dr Surat Kittisupaporn, a urologist and surgeon, said such fillers caused thick skin, giving the illusion that the penis was larger, and might cause tumours on the sex organ. In most cases patients don't notice it and seek treatment too late.

The shots actually made it more difficult to clean the penis, leading to an increased risk of infection. One patient had such a large tumour that the penis had to be amputated, but the cancer cells still threatened to spread to other parts of the body.

Dr Withoon Nitiwarangkul, a surgery academic, said those getting penis injections could also became impotent. The hospital receives about 30-40 patients a month, especially youngsters, with the youngest at age 18, he said.

Dr Jongjet Aojenpong, director of the hospital, said that getting penis injections in the hope that women would be pleased with the larger size was a misunderstanding and could do great damage.

Men who underwent the injections should consult the hospital's team for early detection of abnormalities and proper treatment, the doctor said.

I think this could be a hot topic today!!!

It is alarming that 18 year olds are undergoing this kind of treatment. When oh when will men realise that 'it aint what you got, it's how you use it ' !!

If these procedures are causing such high rates of complications (30-40 a month is a huge number), the offending clinics should be closed down and the procedures made illegal, as they clearly don't work.

Thankfully some of us don't need this treatment whistling.gif

Thankfully some of us have our brains where they belong with full understanding we don't need the treatment. Injections then amputation? What would possess these people in the first place to take that risk? bah.gif

I agree. Im not aware of what the process is, but anything to do with injecting something into my penis would be a no no

The hospital receives about 30-40 patients a month

This is an extraordinarily high figure. Why has this issue not been mentioned before?

because it would send a message that Thailand is a country with small boy bits which would be the ultimate loss of face for the entire nation.

this is a country where pride out weights saftey

" and might cause tumours on the sex organ. " and " One patient had such a large tumour that the penis had to be amputated "

I am a little confused blink.png . " Botched penis enlargement " ? Isn't the goal of these guys with inch ant size peckers to have an enlargement ?? I would have thought that any tumour that may result from the procedure would indeed be an enlargement, therefore they would have achieved that goal. Some people are just way to hard to please. cheesy.gif

Agreed for sure. This is an astonishingly high number of reported patients per month - We can assume that the real figure is higher. It is an alarming statistic especially for a treatment of this nature which is clearly a "quack" type treatment. Developing cancer? Wow , that is pretty quick. When did they first have people reporting this?
