Chalerm warns again against the "third hand"

By Digital Media

BANGKOK, Nov 23 - Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yubumrung today repeated his earlier warning on a ‘third party’ infiltration in tomorrow’s massive rally by the anti-government Pitak Siam group in the heart of Thailand’s capital.

A police intelligence report reconfirmed a third party element which aims at instigate violence during the political rally, he said, adding that the declared enforcement of the Internal Security Act (ISA) was in response to a request by the authorities in charge of maintaining peace and public order during the demonstration.

Pitak Siam leader Gen Boonlert Kaewprasit, meanwhile, reassured that the rally will be peaceful without the use of arms or intrusions into nearby Parliament and Government House.

“We will tell the public about the government’s failure in its administration and widespread corruption,” he said, claiming that a large number of Thai people could no longer tolerate the present administration.

Pol Capt Chalerm assured that the ISA implementation will be immediately called off as demonstrators disperse while police will definitely refrain from exercising force and harsh measures in dealing with the rally.

“They have been reports that hard core protestors will arrest the prime minister, myself and seize Government House, and create violence before sneaking into hiding at nearby Sanam Suapa, Wat Benjamabopitr and important government buildings,” the deputy premier said.

He insisted that the government was not overly panicky in invoking the ISA and the international community understands the action which is in accord with universal standards.

Meanwhile, representatives of the independent Anti-Corruption Network and the Green Group submitted letters to the Office of the Ombudsman, calling for the Constitution Court to strip all cabinet members of their posts for unlawfully invoking the ICA despite the fact that the Pitak Siam’s rally hasn’t started. I was wondering if I should walk down to Royal Plaza tomorrow, just 15 minutes from where I live. No idea how come Dept. PM Pol. Captain Chalerm may have heard about my intentions to look around rolleyes.gif

Since when did Chalerm tell the truth? Is there still somebody in the world that believes him?

This kind of news can be skipped because Chalerm is a proven lier!

He doesn't know that he is a major part of the problem? Without him this rally will be much smaller.

Chalerm, just tell people the truth for once that YOU and THAKSIN are arranging the "Third Hand".

"They have been reports that hard core protestors will arrest the prime minister, myself and seize Government House, and create violence before sneaking into hiding at nearby Sanam Suapa, Wat Benjamabopitr and important government buildings,” the deputy premier said."

Who told him this? Jatuporn? Give me a break with this non-sense.

Same as little Oak's game: "somebody wants to kill my father, I beg all red shirts to tell my father not to go to Burma" bah.gif

I think he's rather over estimating his importance in this fiasco.

there are yellow shirts, red shirts, so who are the 3rd hand? PTP keeps talking about this 3rd hand, but what are they and who do they support and represent?

PTP is bringing in volunteers, who are they? sourced from where?

Can not be "yellows" supporters, very much doubt the neutrals, not the police, so the red shirts or army? but Police General was put in charge not the Army general.

The whole things is so confusing and twisted that anything can be made out to fit anyone's agenda

Chalerm is making sure he continues to tell everyone about the violence to come yet Pitak Siam keep simply denying it. Makes you wonder if Chalerm has let his psychopathic son loose with his cronies. You could almost bet if anything happens it could be tagged back to Chalerm otherwise why would he be making such a song and dance over this?

Because he knows if they don't squish this issue first time up, their goose is cooked. if it goes wrong, they must sort it quickly with the police only.

They darent let the army come out because they might not go back. Gee probably knows there is no way the army will intervene anyway if asked.

The government just put 7650 soldiers on standby (the other newspaper says).

Let's see how this unfolds. Tense times.

OK I wasen't go to say any thing but5 as so many people want tio know where the third hand is I will tell you.

It is a group of defenders of democracy that Chalerm has been putting together. He has reasoned it out that the red shirts will not stand for the truth and create a lot of problems, This is where he plans on leading his band of champions of democracy in to the whole mess to put a stop to the fighting. He plans on leading this group in to the battle while he is astride his favorite pink elephant.

There you go now you know the rest of the story.

These anti-democracy dinosaurs are certainly asking for trouble with their selfishly senile call for an unconstitutional coup against a stable & popular government.

'these' dinosaurs? You mean apart from Gen. Boonlert 'if I could I would' Kaewprasit, there are more dinosaurs?

'selfishly senile call'? That's close to an insult, even our jayboy only wrote 'doddering old fool' rolleyes.gif

Can't you just feel that Chalerm is praying for some violence, just so he can be right for once, which will enable the obvious retort "I told you so"

The main worry is: the violence could easily be manipulated and manufactured! fingers crossed it will not happen?

Pigs are kept in a sty, not a stable.

The 3rd hand is the military, who always claim that the "highest institution" is under threat (and it never has been) and they need to protect "democracy" whenever they get involved with politics. The reason very few politicians actually identify the military instead of the mysterious 3rd hand, is because most thai politicians will at some time in the future have to make some deal with the military and they don't want to burn any bridges.

Remember where the real power lies, and it isn't with the elected government. However the military does like to keep up the illusion of a democracy.

Right, now I understand. it's all the army's fault. They are going to start violence during the protest because they actually enjoy shooting protesters, being a bunch of psycho-sadistic mass-murderers armed with military weapons. Or is it a live-fire training exercise?
