Anyone else getting time-outs and general slowness using Sophon in Pattaya, or CAT Nation-Wide ?

Seemed to crawl from about 3AM - 8AM yesterday (basically unusable), then back to full speed in the daytime. Now tonight (i.e 3AM ish); seems to be unusable again.

Very stange as Sophon / CAT usually gives me my full 2Mbit/s Premium service 24/7 without any timeouts or problems.

I have 4mbs non-premium and am experiencing no trouble, though I haven't used the connection overnight for several days.

I am not convinced that the premium package actually provides anything extra, apart from a bigger bill.

I previously used the 4mbs standard service and found the maximum speed could drop to 1mbs at peak times whereas the premium service provides the full speed all the time.

It seems that my connection magically attained full speed again at 8am this morning.... this is from dial-up speeds and page time-outs. It seems like they are performing some major maintenance at peak times and transparently transferinng my line onto a GPRS backup between 3AM and 8AM.

I'd be very surprised if I was the only user affected.

02:15 AM and my internet gone to the dogs again !

And now, after 8 AM, back to full speed.
