Air conditioner: Not having it can make a man angry.

BANGKOK: -- A disgruntled Bangkok man reportedly shot a store employee yesterday because he was angry at how long it was taking to install his new air conditioner.

The suspect Anurak Rosdee, 31, allegedly shot the staff member in the stomach after going to the shop to complain. He was arrested with a .38 pistol and several rounds of ammunition.

Staff at PB Air Service shop in Bangkok’s Don Mueang district told police that Anurak began firing shots at the stop after learning that the installation of his air conditioner [more...]

Just another case of anger management. Thai style. Telling porkies too.

Don't know why the lazy Sob couldn't put it in himself, if its like the one in the pic.

Unlike Australia in Thailand most air-conditioning firms offer free installation upon purchase of a unit.

You don't often see anything other than split systems in Thailand, not many (if any) of the single unit systems shown in the photo around.

Why would he bring a gun to the AC store and expect somebody would be shooting at him in the first place? It's either he had been misbehaving earlier, or amphetamines were taking their toll on him...

I think this guy obviously has some issues that mean he probably shouldn't have a gun...

As well as a lot of other people in and outside Thailand.

People like this shouldn't be allowed to posses anything more dangerous than a spoon.

You can sharpen a spoon. They'll come, soon enough!

Cos the fan was not blowing away the wrench of his yaba well enough. You know, the retailer in the shop who he saw 4 times in his apartment!

Anurak was arrested for illegal possession and misuse of a firearm in public.

Misuse? I always thought that these thingies were made to punch holes into people. Even funnier is the fact that he is not charged with attempted manslaughter or at least negligently causing grievous bodily harm. Seems the BiB have to check first whether their client is "connected" so they don't run into an embarrassing situation.

Probably for the same reason that a MP took a gun to dinner where he took it out to remove a 'jammed round' which resulted in him 'accidentally' shooting and killing his secretary who also happened to be his ex-wife!

The whole story is so far fetched it is hard to believe they even attempted to cover it up with tin kicking incident where this moron had to 'return fire'. But then carrying a pistol in an air conditioning shop? Nah... sorry. Attempted murder unless he pleads temporary insanity... w00t.gif

Where were the virtues of Thainess? huh.png

I dunno about virtues, but losing it without notice is about as quintessentially Thai as one could get. You never know what's cookin' behind that iffy smile. whistling.gif

Hope the dude's alright.

"Anurak’s story was a bit different. He said he went to the story to check on when the installation would be finished, but found no one there. While he was waiting, Anurak said he heard gunshot-like noises coming from the shop so he returned fire. He said that he later called the owner of the shop who told him that the noise had been someone kicking an iron wall."

Something tells me that Mr Anurak's connections are not lofty enough for the judge to believe this story. With the right father, of course, the mystery gunmen, Puet, could have been revived to take responsibilty.
