Went yesterday and had all this ...go straight to centre desk (do not take number). You can pick up the form there (or download it) and when completed return form to centre desk. Last two times I have got a cert same deal....come back at 1.00pm to collect.

I dropped mine off at maybe 10.30am....and confirmed that I could pick it up at 1.00pm that day as it was busy as a one legged man at an arse kicking competition.

When you come back after 1.00pm straight to the centre desk again, Make a donation of 500 baht to the Immigration Officers Benevolent Fund (no receipt) and you have your certificate. If the cert is not ready they can do one (yesterday there was a heap of requests) but you have to wait (and it can be a while) as lunch and has to be signed of by Dragon Lady (so if she is out or busy you wait). Yesterday she was a great help.

Parking is a nightmare (take a bike and park on the verge outside is best bet).

Just go to the copy center in the back tell the girl what you need and she will print out for you, but you need two photos per a posted sign at the copy center. I arrived yesterday at 11am submitted everything and the chief inspectors say come back tomorrow 10am (today). Thank you very much. went back today and it was a mad house, the girl from info counter was manning a table with all of the forms to be picked up after I saw this picked it up and out in 2 min..

Headed out to land Office and got my new 5 year licenses car an scooter.

I am sure the OP should heed the above list of requirements but when I went for mine I did no photocopying of my passport.

Simply went into the small office at the back, i passed over my passport...which has the stamps/visa/departure card and they asked me for 2 photos. I also had a telephone bill with my name on it.

They photocopied the relevant pages and gave me a certificate, and kept one for themselves. asked me for 500bt and that was that.

it took 10 minutes in total, no one else there,

Mine was for the vehicle registration department.

Thanks for the 2 photos required info. Where is the "small office at the back", do you mean the copy girl? unsure.png

I need a residence certificate also but I am not sure what proof of address I can provide. The house belongs to my wife and all the utility bills are at her name. Would these works along with a marriage certificate ? I do receive my bank statement at my name, would that work too although they are not in Thai language ?

Thanks

If your a US citizen you can also get it from the

US Consulate.Albeit at 3x the price. $50 vs 500 Baht

But it is very easy & all you need is your passport

One benefit is the ones from the Consulate do not expire or have a use by date.

I have heard but not verified the immigration ones do expire after a date.

I have bought two so far this year.

Yes, you need 2 sets of documents. And each set needs an original certificate of residence. Might be possible for the gov official to endorse a copy after examining the original, all depends on the mood of the processing official. TIT biggrin.png

Of course you need two documents (there was a time you didn't), as they've wised up......why sting the alien for 500 baht when you can sting him/her for 1,000 baht.

I just wonder why they can't check my previous 90 day reports (they must have a ton of them by now) and give me a residence certificate ?

Does anyone know if immigration has resumed issuing these certificates? I think there was some talk earlier this month that the person in charge of issuing them was out of the office.

November 2011 the kind woman from the driving lisence office made a copy from the original certificate and the doctors statement.

Ditto for me in the same month. However, the kind woman would not use two copies for my two licenses and leave me with the original for my greenbook registration. I had to trudge on back to immigration for that.

Did your certificate have this near the bottom? And were the correct boxes checked?

Was there today, got one.

First they said "cannot!"

I said but I need one.

Ok, I ask.

You are lucky can do!

500 baht.

Took them about an hour.

I wonder are they still doing it or is this a one-off thing? I need it for car financing. If they don't do it anymore, is going to the consulate the only option to obtain one?

I had a good copy when I did the greenbook last time, guess I was lucky. smile.png

Was even more lucky the day after. Had to do another "greenbook" was out of copies, so I showed them my DL which has my address on the back.
