hi,

just arrived on a 15 days arrival stamp in Bangkok ( was on a 1 year non o based on marriage before ). At the immigration they told me that I can do a 60 days tourist visa in Bangkok. No need to leave the country ! After that ask for a three month non o based on marriage and then start the 1 year non o based on marriage process again .

Is this correct ? Anyone knows about that !

Thx for replies

No you will not get a Tourist Visa.

Yes you can get a 60 day extension of stay to visit your Wife.

Take your Wife with you together with Marriage Certificate , Wife's tabbien baan and ID card.

Passport size photo and 1,900 Baht fee.

If you have the required income proof or money in account of 400k you can obtain a conversion to non immigrant 90 day entry and then extend for marriage as in the past (money would not have to be seasoned) but you must immediately do this as minimum time I have seen reported was 9 days and normally they ask 15 days remaining - only done at Chiang Watanna for most locations in the country.

Yes you can do the conversion while on your 60 day extension. I suggest you apply after you have been on the extension for 30 days to give plenty of time to get paperwork sorted out if what you have is not enough.
