Vietnam Air In May Gatwick Bkk.........?

I intend to return to Thailand for a trip in May and onwards to Khorat.......

If you pick the days they fly Vietnam come up with some very low fares with decent connections at around £460 ish......(advertised cheaper but I cannot find a seat)

Anyone tried them from the UK.......I have flown 25 different Carriers to or fro Bangkok and would love to get that up to 30 Different over next few years......

Out of interest have not been on Oman or Jet either.................

My memory of Vietnam Air was travelling from Saigon to Melbourne. I was a Qantas passenger travelling on a Qantas code share and had organised a specific exit row seat in advance.

At check-in, the agent was most unfriendly and spent a long time fiddling with the computer before giving me what turned out to be a middle seat near the rear toilets. When everyone had boarded I discovered that my original allocated seat was still available, and so I sat there.

I have no doubt it was my white skin that made the agent downgrade my seat.

Beware from April 2013 you will have a 45mins 'technical stop' on both legs in Frankfurt.

No problem........

Do you reckon a sit on board job or into lounge..........??

A technical stop is just that...a stop for technical reasons. They are not stops where passengers or cargo get on or off. Usually, fuel stops, but another somewhat common reason is to get a new crew to satisfy crew rest requirements

Yes I flew on Biman 3 times back in the 90's whereby we stopped in Frankfurt for Cargo Passengers etc but stayed on board which is better in my opnion......
