Seasons greetings all, I have a multiple entry non o visa and I'm from the UK. My last 90 days finishes on jan 20th , what I want to know is can I extend it another 90 days and if so where do I do it and how much? I will look elsewhere on the forum in the meantime, thanks for reading, John s

If the actual Visa is still valid you can do a border run and get another 90 days

If the actual Visa has expired the best you can hope for is 7 days to leave the country. 1,900 Baht.

Unless you have a Thai family or qualify by work reasons.

Then you will have more options.

EDIT.

I think you have a Thai Son.

If I am correct you should be able to get a 60 day extension for 1,900 Baht. Apply at Immigration

Also if you have 400,000 Baht in a Thai bank and you are the legal father you can get a 12 month extension for 1,900 Baht.

We really need to know what your circumstances are.

A multiple entry visa is valid for 1 year. During thatyear, each time you enter Thailand you are allowed to stay for 90 days. If you leave and re-enter Thailand just before the visa expires, you get a new 90 days and so almost 15 months out of it.

Is you non-O based on marriage or retirement? Than you might have a few other options.

Sorry about lack of info.

My visa has now lapsed and I am on my last 90 days now so I have had more than a year out of it. You are correct and I do have a son here but we are not married yet. Of course the reason I got the non o was because of my son. Do you think I can extend and if so will I have to go to Bangkok to do it? Cheers for your quick replies. John s

Believe if you are on the birth certificate (which you likely are to have received the visa) and mother/child is with you a 60 day extension should be available at any immigration office.

Local immigration, with household registration book showing where the child lives. That determines where you should apply. If the child lives somewhere else than registered rpoof of address might be asked for to determine where you should apply.

Take:

- mother

- child

- their ID-cards

- birth certificate

- household registration book(s)

- passport and arrvial card and copies of relevant pages

- passport size photo

If you want to get a one year extension based upon having a Thai child you would need to hire a lawyer to assist with getting custody of your child from the a Thai court. You would probably need this also to get another multiple entry visa.

As mentioned you need to have 400K baht in a Thai bank in your name or 40K baht monthly income for the extension.

Khop kun khrap makk makk to everybody for your input, looks like I will be taking a trip to local office in aranyaprathet, I am told it's at the border before you leave thailand. Judging from all your advice I believe it won't be a problem, again thankyou all very much and I hope you all enjoy a good 2013.
