I believe an Airbus A320 but not sure and not a clue about operator.

How about this one for just aircraft model? Sorry if you just read the URL you will get the model but I am a novice at posting images.

De Haviland Comet..... You beat me to it...I had just found a pic to show the mods what an early jet REALLY looks like.

As an aside, isn't it great to see so many mods not following the op..... Mods off topic????? Surely not!

Correct nearly. Its a Sultan of Omans Airforce BAC1-11 Number 551 (Arabic Numerals 0 is . and 5 is 0, closest approximation on a western keyboard)

Bought by some Indonesian Airlines and actually,ordered by Orient Thai. Also by a Laos airline.

It's a caravelle.

Along with the above Caravelle, one of the most elegant airliners ever built, in my opinion.

The RAF still fly VC10s. They are popular at airshows.

OK ... back to simple again.

I didn't get a front on photo because it was an afternoon shot and the planes 'drops' out of the sun.

Have to say ... really impressive to watch this bird land.
