Triple Tourist Visa

When applying for a triple entry tourist visa does anything need written different on the tourist visa application other than writing 3 on the "number of entries requested" line?

No, that should do it. Although depending where you apply they might want to see some aditional papers, such s a plane ticket out.

An American friend tried in Prague, CR and they said they never do triple entries. He has no previous tourist visas. A double requires the equivalent of $1,800 in the bank which he doesn't have in Prague. He did show them a return ticket to prove his plans to leave Thailand but still only would give a single entry. Do you think he will be able to get another entry from Laos when the single entry from Prague is used up?

Yes and likely a 2 entry if he only has one visa in his passport.
