I think i may have worked it out as when i punched in Green book I only seen results for motor bikes not cars

Just some questions on both , but i do know these matters can take quite a while

Have car from Toyota through finance finished payments mid Nov 12 So how long would it take for a name change from them & to send us the book (my wife)

Green books is for motorbikes, blue books for cars.

Registration book and tax sticker you get fairly quick when paying cash, I'm not sure how big the back log on motorbike plates is. Normally if you buy new you get a red dealer plate until your white one comes through.

How long the name change on the book takes after your last payment purely depends on the finance company. When they have all the required details from the new owner (your wife), it's only a formality at the Department of Transport to change the name. Done instantly on the spot normally. Maybe a day when very busy.
