Where Can You Get A Motorbike Seat Rebuilt?

Featured Replies

I rented a Kawasaki D-tracker with steet tires today and did the Samoeng loop again. I quite like the bike because I can sit high and see over vehicles, but the seat is a little bit high for me. I was thinking of buying one of these bikes, but I'm not sure if I'll like standing on my toes every time I come to a stop.

Renee, check out this thread, second post down. I went there and got a new seat for my Wave. The guy does excellent work. I would be surprised if he couldn't get a seat made that works for you.

There was a similar request several months back on this forum, but I cannot locate it. What I remember was that there is an upholstery shop that rebuilds motorcycle seats on the east side of the river, some blocks south of the iron bridge (Loi Khroh Road). It might be worth your while to drive along that street and see what you can find.

Edit: Ah, it looks like others are faster (and smarter) than me in getting this site located. Good luck.

You can lower the bike at the Kawasaki dealer, just check at them till how far they can lower them for you.

I agree with this. There is nothing to the Dtracker stock seat as it is, so attempting to lower the height by reconstructing the seat will do nothing

Thank you for the replies. I'll do some checking before I decide to buy.

You could always go for the D-Tracker 150! I'll get my coat!

On a serious note, normally you can 'shave down' the foam seat and have it recovered, but as another poster said, it's quite thin already.

A place for seat recovering is here.
