Am I Alone In The Phuket Forum?

Recommended Posts

Am I the only one that is sick to death of the taxi, tuk tuk, jetski threads and news? I normally spend a lot of time in a different forum but left as my posts were doctored. I normally just skim through them and then throw in a quick comment. I wont be reading them anymore, am I alone?

Those are unsolved issues which therefore keep on the top of the list. For newspapers and other media those stories increase the sales.

The change on the forum starts from you. Write about something else. Do it until few others start to do the same and you'll get the snowball rolling.

Good advice...let's get creative people.

Pin the issue to the top of the forum if its so important and put all the articles and rubbish associated with it there

Just read the article and don't bother reading the lame responses or leaving one...

I agree with you it seems to me that the ex pat community are the only ones that worry about Thailand and its corruption so realy its a waste of time because who takes any notice of us

The same goes for coral reefs, growing mountains of garbage in Phuket, cutting of trees, using wild animals to make photos on Bangla and so on....

One of the problems is that you often don't know what a thread is about until you open it. Bald headings like 'Where to buy question', 'Advice requested' and so on are darned annoying. Be specific, make the heading 'Where to buy widgets in Kamala question', 'Advice requested on the mating habits of tukays', etc. As to the OP's suggestion of pinning the recurring thread themes, it would probably be too unwieldy. The point is that if the thread is properly headed, you will be in a better position to decide whether you wish to open it.
