Picked this bunch this morning. I've found that they have good flavour and texture but for some reason they can't be sold, Thai people just won't buy them and no one can tell me why that is so. I have found they have to be picked as soon as there is a hint of them ripening. If you don't they tend to split and then it's open house for birds and ants. This could be the reason Thai people won't buy them ?

Fortunately we only have around 10 of this variety and I have no Idea what the name is. We have another 140 or so plants that are saleable and once again have no idea what varieties they are. Possibly mixed but look very much the same apart from bunch size.DSC05404.JPG

Taken on my phone approx. 8 weeks ago in a rice paddy just down the lane from our field.

Maize combine got a bit close to the ditch and feel in, luckily this 360 backhoes and owner, come from 500 yards up the road.

First, off they try pulling forward after the 360 tried leveling out land a bit, but all they did was pull the combine further into the ditch, then they tried pulling from behind and out he comes.
