Anyone at the show today? Just saw this pic of the Z250 on Facebook. They must have announced it today. I didn't notice it yesterday.

I was there today but didn`t see it. The show was pretty lame compared to last year. I went to the Suzuki stand and saw the Inazuma. If you removed the twin long range howitzer exhaust and replaced the cowcatcher front mudguard for something more petite it would look remarkably similar to the Honda CB500F which itself looks rather uninspiring. Suzuki rep said it is coming but doesn`t know when or the price but may well be built in Thailand. Suzuki also had a new scooter on display. Sat on the Honda MSX and was surprised how comfortable and uncramped it felt, a bit like a small Monster and the same size as the Zoomer, of which many customised examples were on display. IMO the only company that really pushed the boat out and showed their intent was Victory, beautifully built bikes that put HD in the shade.

Birdsandbooze, any hint about z800?

I m excited to see the fest. Only have time this saturday.

Didn`t see the Z800. It was all current models on the Kawa stand. I had a sit on the new Ninja 250 and what a cracking little bike it is with almost perfect ergonomics and style. I`m tempted to sell the ER6N and buy one. There is an interesting display of about 30 classic BMW`s from yesteryear. The BMW C600 sports scooter is there and interestingly uses chain drive in a sealed oil bath, so it should last almost forever. Honda had a reasonable display and looking at the CBR500R alongside the CB500F the faired biked IMO is much better looking than it`s naked sibling and much better value at only 5000 baht more. The whole show feels a bit low key this year.

Wow what a fantastic looking bike. Didn't see that coming...

It is a nice street fighter look they have there

You know it seems Kawasaki has been doing really well in their 250 design with both the Ninja 250

& now this in a street fighter flavor.

yes, kawa is almost doing well mania as they do not sell 300 cc versions of these bikes to us here!!! why?

Taxes

Thailand has some kind of tax agreement based on cc

I wonder if in the future there is the possibility of bolting on the additional cc's

The additional torque would be nice.

yeah taxes and death, right?laugh.png

I am sure they bring something to make it 300cc soon mania, the guys in Indonesia especially are maniac for their bikes and ninjas. They made a 300 cc bore kit for cbr250 and it reaches 33 hp on dynobiggrin.png and it is running well:)

And hope to see some of you guys at teh show tomorrow, i will be there afternoon around 2-3 ish as i stated, if you see a guy with a red dragon graphix shoei strapped on the elbow, it is me, just say hi:) i am not a bad man:))

I liked the Ducati Girls from last year all Black Leather, very sexy

Noted Chiang Mai now has a new Ducati shop and also a KTM shop !

Yes been to both. Very nice high end shops.

The Ducati shop has a touchscreen interface in front of the display bikes.

Very cool Very pricey but that Panigale is very beautiful :)

Pictures of under the seat and dash of Foroza, plenty of space under the seat, I am still tempted to go for the CBR 500 x for similar money. Both same weight at 197kg. Obviously 2 different styles for a different job.

Also a picture of the test track on tiles, slight shower everybody flying into the barriers so closed off. Not good area for test track on walkway.

The BIB had there own stand showing off their special occasion Harleys

I should be at the Bilmola booth later today, if anyone wants to stop by.

Too busy here at the shop. I don't think I'll be able to make it today. If you need any help at Bilmola, just ask for M. He is the owner of Bilmola and speaks perfect English.

Went to the show today too. Kawasaki had preferred parking so our group had to split up at the lot. Kawasaki also provided a nice box of danish and croissants with oj. The z250 had a 151,000baht price.

I picked up some renthal bars for my klx pro taper grips and some nice alpinestar gpx gloves. Prices were very good imho.

Would the local H-D dealer be encouraged by the H-D company to donate those police cruisers to the BIB? Or would the BIB encourage the local H-D dealer to donate the bikes.....lets say for prestige value?

dont think budget is any barrier to thailands finest BIB

the lowest level cop has to pay for his own wheels

but anyone in a specialist devison that needs a fast bike usually gets a good one

there is a fleet of bmw 1200's to protect the king and royal family

the airport police also have some bmw 1200s

and VIPS from other countries are sometimes escorted by a handful of white yamaha's ( fjr 1300's i think )

and then you see a cop on a 30 yr old 2 stroke and you think <deleted> ? :D

the police get first pick over impounded bikes at the police auction so maybe easy for them to get a good

bargain on somones confiscated grey import and have it registered as a police bike for free !

The Harley's at the show are from the branch that only comes out on special days to escort the royal family.

Don't think the police paid for those bikes directly.

coming from petchburi rd into the city centre ,there is a intersection under the bts where you turn left to go to central world or keep straight over the train tracks to Hua lumpong, chinatown, khao san etc

One of the police has a black er6n (old model ) , parked at the cop box there looking beastly next to the tiger boxer 200's his mates have , it looks stock apart from a large white letters of " P-O-L-I-C-E " on the side of the tank .................but for some reason hes done it in english rather than thai writing ?? smile.png

CBR250 seems to be becoming the popular bike traffic police are adopting , more and more of them around expressways and flyovers in bkk now

A cbr250 probably feels like a ducatti panningale after riding a few years on a tiger boxer hit-the-fan.gif

it was a nice show there.

bought a pair of Stylmartin from paddock stand for pretty cheap. I was in need of something for work as this one is manageable on my work place. It is from Italy, very comfy and water proof.

http://www.stylmarti...tto=norwich-low

All the gear shops has good discount there and good prices.

Loved the modded zoomer x. some of them was looking perfect. msx looks cool and they will start to sell cafe racer and racing fairings soon for itlaugh.png

Still no words about z800 apart from a classic "it will come but we do not know when"

Seen Victory first time in Thailand, shiny bikes.

And, the band at Triumph stand was perfect after 18:30.

kawa z250 is a good looking bike, owners of it will be happy riders sure.
