You Have To Choose A Place Other Than Bkk/cm/phuket To Live And Teach For 1 Year. Where Do You Go?

If you had to choose a town/city other than Bangkok, Chiang Mai, or Phuket to live in for an entire year teaching English, where would you go and why? What places would you avoid? Very interested to hear opinions on this!

Close to the sea and it is not Pattaya

Try the north east / Isaan.

I moved to Korat a few weeks ago and am loving it! The people are so much friendlier and laid back and they smile a lot more as well.

It really feels like I'm finally "living" in Thailand. Few Caucasians and a lot less traffic.
