Us Brits seem to get a slamming on here quite often about things we do, but you hardly ever hear about us with guns, with fists and baseball bats and stuff okay, but never guns.

Because you Brits let the Govt. take them away from you, they tried to do the same in the colonies but it seemed to go all wrong for them.

A ''revolver'' going off by itself. laugh.png Near impossible. rolleyes.gif

What about the Thai MP whose sub machine gun went off "by accident" in a restaurant and killed somebody then?

I both cases you need to take the safecatch off and pull the trigger.

a revolver has no safety catch.

He added that the gun was not his; it belonged to a Thai who had given it to him as security against a loan of B50,000.

That must make him a loan gunman.

Oh no! I can't believe that I am actually sitting here laughing at that...rolleyes.gif

This is probably one of those guys who goes around saying "guns don't kill people, people kill people". But apparently they go off by themselves... thumbsup.gif

Why am I always reading about Americans and guns?!

That's OK, Europeans got their cars, Americans got their guns. No problem, right? Both can be dangerous in the wrong hands.

The stupid logic from Americans when it comes to guns.cheesy.gifcheesy.gif

I worry about my Thai wife"s gun firing by itself and hitting me!

I would too. w00t.gif

Whilst she's not around, unload it and keep the rounds in a safe place. thumbsup.gif

Well, read the other story on a parallel forum in which an Aussie shot two Germans by mistake, you see the American access to guns even makes accidents Americans have with guns safer, no one was hit by this numb nut

A Browning 9mm is a revolver it needs to be cocked, and it also has a small safety catch.

As Transam does say it can go off by being dropped.

Browning doesn't make a 9mm revolver.

They make a very nice 9mm semi-automatic though.

Just tell them your claiming second amendment rights?? thumbsup.gif

Let us know how that works out for you...

rights should not be taken away from law abiding citizens because of the activities of the criminal bah.gif

Wrong, a browning 9mm is not a revolver. It is a pistol and yes it has a safety. a Revolver, by definition is a handgun where the bullets are loaded into the revolving chamber and as it fires, it reloads by revolving - like in all the best cowboy pictures.

Is that because guns need aim?

Sorry I was reloading....

What was the question again?

Never take your eyes off the ''target'' when reloading. whistling.gif ..............laugh.png

Referring back to colonial days (as today), the vast majority of the British populace never owned guns. So, not too sure what you trying to say.

But Americans have both.

The Australian Govt paid us for them and then destroyed them. Many appear to have bought more of them with the money they got.

What's an American doing with a gun, and then shooting it? Unheard of.

Please read the story smile.png The gun went off by itself. Having loaded itself and jumping into the guy's pocket itself, just before he went out for the evening. Truly an amazing piece of weaponry. They build intelligence into machinery these days, having previously removed it from some citizens. . . . . .

True, but if just load bullets, not much is going to happen.
