ThaiVisaExpress
Here is a link to the Independent Chief Inspector's latest report ( or, rather, the UKBA's responses to the report) on The Inspection of Applications for Leave to Enter, Remain and Settle in the UK on the Basis of Marriage and Civil Partnerships April - October 2012 http://www.ukba.home...riage-civil.pdf I expect there will be some views, and comments, on the content Edited January 24, 2013 by ThaiVisaExpress

bobrussell
http://icinspector.i...ts-of-children/ The original report does not really match the complacent response! Pretty damning that thousands of case files can be moved from Croydon and left in a room to gather dust! theoldgit
I haven't read the full report yet, but I did note that the Bangkok Post was included in the Inspection.
bobrussell
It is a very sensible report (Inspectors report) as always seems to be the case!
kateharper
Thank you for posting this. I have just read both the news article on the inspector's report and UKBA's response. I will definitely be quoting parts of this in my complaint to them and in our appeal. It seems from reading the response, that they can make exception's to the rules jn certain "exceptional"cases relating to human rights and "in the best interests of a child". These were key factors in my case and we were still not given a visa, we don't even know why yet, as they sent us somebody else's decision letter! Bunch of incompetent idiots!
