Today is the last night of a three day music festival. I went along last night and it was great fun and a big surprise. My girlfriend said we were going to a party and I was expecting the normal Thai temple party. Instead it was a music festival with live bands. Some good some not so, but great fun.

If anyone is interested it is at the hot springs behind Doi Saket. Go along the Chiang Rai road and go past Doi saket. After about 10km there is a right turn, it is the same road that Jungle flight is on. After about 5km on that road you will see it on your left.

There are signs for it on the main Chiang Rai road but it could be easily missed.

Entrance fee is 150 Baht, and well worth it to see some live music.

Just to make it clear this is not the San Kaempeng hot springs but the ones behind Doi saket.

There are people without facebook? blink.png

Yes, why would I publish my life on a public website.

To socialize? Anyway it's not public unless you really want it to be.

Because Facebook has lost its soul, and is now evil. All the investors and advertisers now want a return on their investments and demand access to your friends listings, into your photos and everything else about you. Socializing? What did you do before Facebook. (oh, yeah - its nice to be back in touch with all them old 'friends' you dropped like an old pair of shoes back in the days.)

Thanks for the report on the festival. I was hoping to get out there myself but life got in the way. Feel free to post any similar events as they come up!

Yeah I wouldn't either.

To be fair, it has some uses. The g/f has 9 different accounts for buying and selling the products she markets. But she does not use her real name, publish any personal photos, or reveal any personal information in any of them.

First I am sorry if anyone went tonight on my original recommendation. Tonight was a Thai music night for the locals. The two nights previous though were fanatstic

As for previous comments it seems to me that it is sad that people have more fun commenting about facebook rather than supporting a local event.

I will do my best and I hope I can give people a bit more warning in the future.
