Jet Airways Charging for food? surely not, last time I flew with them the food was atrocious, and I doubt they could have given it away! Considering Indian Curries are highly rated, worldwide, this green lump of mushy puke, was probably the inspiration for the sick smiley on TV.sick.gif

Norwegian seem to be charging, on their new long-haul connections (later this year) to Bangkok via Scandinavia, but then again they're a LCC, not strictly a scheduled-airline.

I booked a BKK-BOM-LHR-DEL-BKK for May on Jet for B25,700, booking made a couple of weeks ago, and there was no suggestion of needing to order/pay for meals, so I'd assume for now that this is a false-alarm ?

I don't know about False Alarm......

Clearly says within main conditions that Food and Beverages can be purchased in flight.

Could Expedia be referring to Jet's new 'SkyCafe', onboard JetKonnect flights, which are for cash purchase in Economy onboard domestic flights ? "All items on SkyCafe will be available against cash purchase only." JetKonnect replaced JetLite last March, and is a 2-class service domestically.

Jet's main website makes no mention of needing to purchase food or drinks on international flights, which I would confirm from 4 returns BKK-LHR-BKK over the past 18 months, their standards are slipping but it's strange that a new booking earlier this month didn't encounter the charge, if they're trying to introduce one ?

There is the usual (in fact, rather a good one) selection of meal-types, for pre-order, for those with specific religious/dietary needs.
