British children (nearly 5 years old), when living in Koh Lanta what are their options for school please.

None, except local Thai schools. Lanta is not the place to raise foreign children. A friend sent his son to an international school in Phuket, where he stayed from Sunday evening until Friday evening in the school dormitory.

Home schooling and/or employ a qualified primary school teacher in need of a sabbatical/first job.

There is a Swedish school on Lanta but doesn't look like they do much English. I mean, the teachers no doubt speak English but if all the other kids are Swedish all the teaching is going to be in English.

I'd second home education + some kind of nanny/au-pair.
