Chalerm,Sanoh, Sanan, Suthep, Sonthi, Sondhi, Abhisit, Thaksin, Chuan they are all the same. They could not care less about people. They are in politics for one thing only to become untouchable and to enrich themselves. Politicians worldwide are mostly scum but in Thailand they invented it.

I think your Bias is distorting reality Thailand is no where near being in a position to lead in any thing. You give them to much credit.

They are in the middle of the pack some thing like 88 out of 175 nations.

Chalerm was allowed to leave only after he promised that Cabinet would send representatives to meet them

So Mr. Chalerm how does it feel what the rest of the country has been going through for so long?

Being held hostage is a very unpleasant experience, is it not?

Where were the Brown Shirts. Deputy PM Chalerm is in charge of the Brown shirts and they did not protect the boss.

In post #28, the one behind Chalerm has his head down, possibly to hide a big smile.

Picture number-1 : DPM receives an ear-bashing from his party's grass-roots core-supporters.

Picture number-2 : thinks "My ear hurts ... where's my medicine ?" rolleyes.gif

And now PM-Yingluck makes him directly responsible, for sorting it out, is this conclusive proof that she has a sense-of-humour ? laugh.png

I predict that if and when Thailand ever gets real democracy there will be a new series on Thai television named the Three Stooges. No copyright infringement in Thailand of course. The actors will protray Yingluck, Chalerm and Plodprasop. Ding bat, drunk and the mad scientists.

Congratulations for thinking up a list of random names. Just for your education, Sonthi is not a politician & there is no evidence that either Abhisit or Chuan have even tried to enrich themselves.

I think I can make a good guess at who they will base the elusive fugitive criminal mastermind on, also the urbane British unlicensed-to-kill agent-hero, but which Red-Shirt leader might be the incompetent henchman, I wonder ?

And will they play it straight, or for laughs, and will anybody spot the difference ? rolleyes.gif

That has to be a classic scene, I would have loved to watch Chalerm's face when he got rebutted

Chalerm: they're not political prisoner, they've done nothing wrong

Maineung: They why are they still in prison.

Chalerm: blink.png

cheesy.gif

A rather uncomfortable day from being dressed down (alongside Deputy Secretary-General to Prime Minister Yingluck and Red Shirt Leader Issan Rambo in the Red tie and who doesn't look too keen himself to be there) before going up on stage and, after removing his suit jacket, getting dressed down again...

It sounds like the Red Shirts are beginning to wise up,they are not going to get their demands without a fight from their own Party, they were used,by the Puppet Master, and this time they are not going to be paid for it!

Ironic Justice!

Political prisoners my ass. Retarded, criminal thugs is what they are.

Exactly, and now Chalerm (what a disaster) has stated they are "not Political Prisoners" would it be safe to say that they can't use that as a get out of Jail Plea?

They are Thaksin's crude and boorish tool to put public pressure on government ministers and since Chalerm is crude and boorish himself he is unsurprisingly red-faced when confronted with his own uselessness in delivering the Thaksin agenda.

The red shirts leave Chalerm red faced, well it's a nice change from the usual cause of his red face

Interesting development in that 15 days ago, Jatuporn, and not Natthawut, was given that task to liaison between the government and Red Shirts... He's still not been able to get an appointment and meet with Yingluck to give her Thida's and The Red Shirts version of their demands.

Seems that Yingluck and the PTP are giving a cold shoulder and stalling the January 29th Red Shirts AND Nittirat Group Red Shirts AND Thida's Red Shirts..

This afternoon, In an apparent change of tactics, instead of an amnesty law, the Red Shirts demanded that an Executive Decree be issued by Prime Minister Yingluck to give amnesty for those with criminal offenses occurring between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2011.

They have proposed their own draft of the desired Executive Decree and covers those that have been already been sentenced to jail as well as for those with still pending cases.

It was read out today by Red Shirt Shirt Leader Thida, who was accompanied by Pheu Thai Party MP/Deputy Commerce Minister/Red Shirt Leader Natthawut and former Pheu Thai Party MP/Red Shirt Leader Jatuporn, and Pheu Thai Party MP/Red Shirt Leader Korkaew.

Afterwards, Red Shirt Leader Jatuporn said he will attempt to get an appointment with Yingluck to hand deliver their proposed Executive Decree for her to approve.

Chalerm has come out today with a definitive "NO" to the Red Shirts on the possibility of Yingluck issuing an Executive Decree to exonerate Red Shirts.

He explained that it's constitutionality would be highly contentious as according to him it would violate Art. 184 of the charter and that none of the conditions that allow for issuing an Executive Decree are met by the Red Shirt's situation.

Meanwhile, Red Shirt Leader Kwanchai criticized the January 29th Red Shirts by saying they should not have held their rally as it jeopardizes the Pheu Thai Party's candidacy in the forthcoming Bangkok Governor's race.

No surprise, Dept. PM Pol. Captain Chalerm knows the finer details of law and even wrote his own amnesty bill.

Now please dear red-shirts, if you feel like protesting wait till after the BKK governor elections. It's much more convenient then. I for one though, didn't know we had the Pheu Thai party as candidate, just Pheu Thai member candidate k. Pongsapat

Anyway imagine what the electorate would think if we've got something like this

"Don't mind the helicopters, it's just practice, Miami-Dade police say"

Today, in other Red Shirt/Bangkok Governor election news, the Election Committee for Bangkok rejected a request from the Red Shirts to position 10,000 Red Shirts inside polling stations to observe the election on March 3.

Chairman of the Bangkok Election Committee Taweesak Tuchinda said it was illegal for any outsiders to be inside polling locations, however, he did say it was acceptable for them to be outside.

Has it not sunk in yet that Chalerm is about as thick as pig shit, as welcome as a Mormon ringing your door bell, and as honest as a Kray twin.

What hapened with the appointment to see Mahatmir to get the magic solution? Another has been.

She also said that "rapid deployment teams" would be dispatched immediately to any polling area suspected of having anomalies.

Will they bring their official membership cards, or will this be open to any thug who wants to put on a red shirt and act like somebody important.

Anyone with the correct lack of qualifications is open to join these rabid deployment teams. No membership card necessary, although a used brain donor card would be an advantage.

As I have a voting station along the road outside of my apartment I'll keep members here posted. Mind you, I do not expect any 'anomalies', in the last general elections the district here (#5) voted in the Pheu Thai candidate Leelavadeewhistling.gif
