Bangkok To Samui By Bus : Sai Tai Mai And?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Yesterday I booked by phone to go by VIP bus (999/government) from BKK to Koh Samui

They offered me to leave from Sai Tai Mai OR another place (didn't understand)

Do you know what is the other place we can leave from? I didn't know we had choice.

Thanks!

Ok, thanks. From Fortune where I am, MoChit and Sai Tai Mai seems equidistant.

Also, any idea why my booking increased by 48THB? For the first booking I went too late to 7-11 to pay, then in the 7-11, they called the service center to issue a new ticket...

Just curious!

Does that actually take you onto the island or just to the ferry pier? Seem expensive - I went to Nakhon Si Thamarrat for about 600 baht. I just got to the southern bus terminal a bit early and got a ticket. There are *lots* of buses going down that road..... w00t.gif

Approx 900THB is normal price for VIP bus. Yes I think it includes the boat and some very thai dishes...!

Are you kidding?? From Fortune...equidistant??? Sai Tai Mai is WAY much farther than Mo Chit.

There is also a evening bus (VIP) from Mor Chit to Samui; somewhere between 6 & 7pm as I recall. About B900 including ferry.

Go to window #21. Sorry, I don't have the phone number or company name.
