Any Recent Non Imm O Visa Success Based On Marriage In Kl Or Sav

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm reading more about consuls in the region recommending you to apply for extensions within Thailand rather than issue a new visa,, however it's not so easy for me to extend since I'm normally only around 30-32 days in country before I have to travel outside for work, meaning it's a bit too close for comfort in relation to the 30 day consideration period for the extension,,

I suppose I can get the wife to explain why I can't extend inside Thailand in her " please can you give my husband visa" letter,, but just wondering whether KL is still my best option,,, any recent successes based on marriage anywhere??

You name the two in the region where you have a chance on getting a multiple non-O.

But indeed, have the misses in a small note asking for a visa explain that you really need a multiple non-O. It should increase your chances.

I am also looking into this as I need to do it in the next 3 months.

According to Savan Vegas in an email I have just received - they now require a Thai bank book showing 300,000 Baht in funds (no seasoning mentioned) at Savannaket.

So for now, 100,000 in available funds in KL looks to be the cheapest option - money in the bank wise.

Would be interested to hear if anyone recently got a Multiple entry non Imm O at KL, especially after the tightening of Multiple entry Non Imm B in December.

I got a multiple O based on marriage at Savannaket last week .I had a bank book showing B400,000 ,not seasoned ,and got the visa .( i think they take B300,000 ,as you stated )

Savannakhet is a very poor looking third world cesspit .I stayed in the luxury Casino /Hotel for most of the 2 days .

The bank account has to be Thai for a Non Imm O Visa just 1 entry ?

Married last week after been with my girlfriend for a little more then 1 year....

I tried to open a Thai bank account in Phitsanulok and they didn't want to do it bcz I'm on a tourist visa sad.png

I'm going to KL this sunday .... my canadian bank account have 25 000$ ... IT will be ok to get my visa ?

The plan is when I cameback form KL with the visa I will open a Thai bank account and will apply after 2 months for a marriage visa...

For your visa application, the money can be in a bank in any part of the world. It for for the extension that you will do later that the money has to be in a bank in Thailand. Currently, the Thai embassy in Kuala Lumpur wants to see the equivalent of 100,000 Baht and therefore you will be OK with your 25,000 dollars in a Canadian bank account.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

Actually there should not be any request for financials for a single entry visa which seems to be what

Actually for a single entry visa there should not be any requirement for financials from a Consulate - that is only required when converting at immigration or asking for a multi entry visa from a Consulate. But they can always ask to see 20k baht in cash for visa issue. By going bank branch to branch am sure you would find one willing to open an account - especially if you do with your wife with you - even better both of you open accounts.

@LburtonL, as Lopburi3 said take your wife but also your marriage certificate with you (maybe also Tabien Baan of your wife), if you show them these things they will be very willing to open an Account for you !

There is no requirement to have a job in Thailand - in fact many with Thai wife extensions of stay are actually retired.

thank you .... what i really met by no job " it's that I will only have a account with 400 000 bath " compare to a retired person will show some revenue not me

If you have that in baht for the required period of time that is the requirement if using that method.

You don't need to have a job. Just showing 400,000 in the bank in Thailand and in your name only for two months prior to application is enough.

You will need an updated bankbook and a letter from your bank to proof that the money was in the account for the required period.
