Just want to be absolute sure as I am going out to BKK to assist GF submit her General Visa application to the UKBA.

The UKBA web site suggests going to Bank of Ayudhya and getting a cashiers cheque for the visa payment but is it in GBP or THB. The web site says 3900 THB so guessing THB.

It's a long way to go to get it wrong and for my TGF to then miss the appointment with VFS Global!

Thx

Whilst set in Sterling, UK visa application fees are paid in the local currency; so for Thailand that is Baht.

Check that the exchange rate used by the embassy hasn't changed before buying the cashiers cheque or bankers draft. See here for the lates fees in Baht.

The bank on the ground floor of Regents House are reportedly on the ball and up to date, so you may want to buy your cheque/draft there.

Note that the Sterling amount for all visa and leave to remain fees are usually increased by the government in April each year, too.
