yeah it seems i can get this ratio a few ways. Whatever happens I'm gonna get it done tomorrow, so I'll report back.

Finally had the job done...what a palaver. Couldn't get what I want it so took it back to standard 14:42. Performance is much better. Back to 120km/h. 1st gear is rubbish as it seems too short, but the acceleration is much better. I am going to alter the plug and play with the air filter so I can see if it gets better. My speedo cable has broken (again) so I want to do that first, so I can see any difference. I'll report back when I can.

Thanks for thgis, but as I had the engine rebored less than a year ago, I don't want to spend a lot of cash on new pistons (which is what I assume you are saying to do). I just want to tinker with bits and maybe pay a couple of hundred on bits to get a little more out of it. Thanks though, I have saved the site for the future.
