Sorry, once again reading new posts, didn't spot the gay forum thingy, but it reminded me of other threads that ''proposed'' Jesus, Winston Churchill, Abraham Lincoln ETC, some how, hmmm, didn't like ladies. Once again sorry.

Interestingly, Mormons have similar small numbers to Jews and gays. They are making progress with full public acceptance but like gays still have work to do.

That's an interesting parallel ..... I don't want to go off-track, but I imagine that Mormons are probably accepted rather more than gays, and they are certainly given more leeway as far as having a separate agenda and divided loyalty is concerned. I wonder if a gay Republican with Romney's views would have done any better than Romney did, with nearly half the vote ....

This poll cited again, and the POLITICAL importance of having numbers in the population that are meaningfully large or at least credibly known and documented discussed as well. I still think if the truth is 3 percent and not 10 percent, 3 percent is 3 percent.
