Suspect: Pongpatana Porsoi, 26, wearing a stab vest to protect him, is led away by police in Thailand. He denies raping a 20-year-old British teacher claiming the sex had been consensual

The girl alleged that four Thai men dragged her off from a bar to rape her

She has spoken of her ordeal and says police are treating it 'like a joke'

'They're making out that I was some drunk idiot,' she said

A Thai man suspected of raping a 20-year-old British teacher, claims he had consensual sex with the woman while his friend watched after meeting her in a bar.

Pongpatana Porsoi, 26, was paraded before the press and made to reenact his movements during the alleged attack on a second floor walkway in the city of Nakorn Sri Thammarat in Southern Thailand.

The woman, who is from Fort William, Scotland, claims she was attacked by four men and raped by two of them as she walked home from a night out at around 3am on Friday.

She had previously accused the Thai police of treating her like 'some drunk idiot' and treating the attack as a joke. She was unable to positively identify Porsoi as one of the attackers.

Police reports yesterday quoted the manager of a restaurant, where the woman was refused admittance, as saying she was escorted to a room. A neighbour reportedly said that if she was being raped she would have heard her cries.

Porsoi claimed he spotted the woman in the early hours of February 15 at a bar and went to help her because she had sustained a knee wound. He then followed he up to the second floor.

He said he had attempted to have sex with her twice and claimed she had not resisted his advances but kept repeating the words 'OK. Good'.

Police were able to trace Pongpat because recordings from a security camera showed he was following her.

The woman said she had been out with a friend at a restaurant where she had drunk 'a few beers' before moving on to a bar where she met another friend.

She said her memory of the evening was hazy but added she had a clear description of two of her attackers.

She said: 'I remember quite clearly what the two men who raped me looked like.

If she cannot provide a positive identification all they will have is DNA and two conflicting stories (the suspect saying it was consensual, and her saying it was not), he defense will be that she was so pissed (which is corroborated by others) that she cannot remember if she agreed or not, and had a touch of the seconds after he cum is coco, even if they get a second DNA that may only go to support his story of consent and a touch of the seconds.

It will be interesting to see if it is pursued by the MIB let alone gets put before a court! Personally I think he saw what he thought was an easy opportunity and took it, however if he has any of the right connections, he will probably walk.

Thanks for your LIKE.

Regarding -Medical Exam-, if she was so extremely drunk, intoxicated, under the influence from whatever,

than its plausible,

that her "resistance", was not in a level, which left strong marks on her body.

(As far as I know, women get even told, not to resist to much against a rape, so not to risk to be heavenly beaten, even killed.)

But that is a different case here, with a heavy intoxicated young woman.

But, to use such a situation, to get your "satisfaction" as a man, is not the "fine English style!" as we say in my home country Austria and

should be punished!

There's a certain type of 'man' that has sex with a very inebriated woman.

To quote one of them from the earlier (closed) thread;

I've done it stacks, had great sex with drunk women, and will continue to. You've just accused most people of being rapists.

Rapists? You miss the point ENTIRELY. I am accusing most of these 'men' of being idiots.

Police have charged a man with the rape of a foreign woman in Nakhon Si Thammarat.

NAKHON SI THAMMARAT: -- According to police, the suspect confessed to making sexual advances towards the woman and claimed that she welcomed them.

The alleged victim, however, yesterday failed to identify the suspect at Muang Nakhon Si Thammarat police station. She showed up with her boyfriend.

The 20-year-old woman lodged a rape complaint and gave her testimony to police before leaving Thailand last night.

Her case has received widespread media attention, with several foreign news agencies also reporting on it.

Nakhon Si Thammarat Police chief Pol Maj-General Ronnapong Saikaew interrogated the suspect, Pongpat Posoy, was alone at the time of the interrogation. His close friend witnessed the whole incident and also gave a similar account to police.

Pongpat told police he spotted the alleged victim in the wee hours of February 15 in a bar he frequented, and initially approached her and offered help because she had sustained a knee injury. He said he felt a sexual urge during the close contact and followed her to the second floor of the bar.

The suspect said he then attempted to have sex with the drunken foreigner twice, during which he claimed she did not resist his advances.

The suspect and his friends said the woman kept repeating, "Ok. Good".

Ronnapong said the rape took place between 3.14am and 3.45am.

"We will wait to see the results of a physical examination by |doctors," he said. He said the re-sults would be able to identify whether bodily fluid found on the victim belonged to the alleged victim's boyfriend or her alleged attacker.

The woman initially told police that four men gang-raped her, but an ongoing police investigation has yet to find any evidence to support her claim.

Police linked her to Pongpat because recordings from a security camera appeared to show he was following her.

The victim reportedly came to Thailand to apply for a teaching job.

He said he had attempted to have sex with her twice and claimed she had not resisted his advances but kept repeating the words 'OK. Good'

So whilst she was saying ok did she start having an epileptic seizure or was this guy just clumsy and it takes him a few attempts with a compliant woman? Why did he have to bring his mate along?

I guess now that the victim has left the country the case is closed. The offender will get a warning and be told next time he rapes a tourist, be more discreet or clean up the lose ends when finnish as it tarnishes Thailand excelent reputation.

Sorry for her if she was truly raped. I studied criminal law and have seen many cases like this. Since there were no witness besides the two, it is unlikely there is a solid case. Alcohol was involved, and he admitted he had sex with her. If he denied he had sex with her, he would have something to hide. Were there photos taken of her? Any markings on her? It's likely going to be his word against hers.

STV News Glasgow - February 20, 2013

She told STV: "I hope there’s some way this can be resolved. Those men need to be caught. But it seems like nothing will get done. I just really want to go home, I want to go and see my family and get proper help, but I'm stuck in a foreign country where no one speaks fluent English."

"When I get back to the UK I want to report this to the police who will understand me"

From the original story

"Officers arriving at the scene found the victim sitting and crying on the 2nd-floor balcony. She was wearing a long skirt with a white T-shirt, and had scratches on her body from the sexual assault."

scotsman.com news - February 20, 2013

The woman’s mother also rounded on Thai police and cast doubt on claims that the victim was taken home. She said, "The system there is so corrupt and if my daughter had been taken back to the flat, there was another housemate there who wasn’t aware [my daughter] was home?" "He would have heard her – instead of these ignorant people not listening to the screams of a young woman being attacked/raped."

"They go to the authorities and tell stories to make money to keep their country looking good and us Britons looking like drunken idiots."

"She does admit she was drunk but, believe me, my daughter was so happy with her new life about to begin in Thailand with a new job etc. Why would anyone make up such stories?"

Didn't she originally claim 4 men dragged her off the street?

Doesn't the video showing one or two men going back to her room contradict the original story?

From the mother

"She does admit she was drunk but, believe me, my daughter was so happy with her new life about to begin in Thailand with a new job etc. Why would anyone make up such stories?"

Beats me!

Yes that was me. Unfortunately we lose track with all these thread changes, here's your post...

Please desist from bashing women who 'cry rape' and defending men that chose to have sexual intercourse with an intoxicated female. Any man that shags an intoxicated woman assumes all risk and isn't much of a man IMHO. Consent given or received while under the influence of drugs or alcohol doesn't hack it as a defence. Regardless if he is intoxicated as well, or a friend of the victim or even married to the victim, it's just not cricket... as well as being pretty unmemorable (especially if you are drunk).

Now that's just rubbish, in most cases there will be nothing to defend because it won't be anything like rape. A person can be drunk and can consent to sex and a whole bunch of other things. Go into a nightclub or pub and you'll find a whole lot of drunk people all of whom can lawfully consent to sex. The ones that are getting carried out are the people who are over the line.

In most countries you can legally drive a car under the influence of alcohol (< 0.05) say; can drive a car at 100 km/h on busy roads but not consent to sex?

The story as I understand it is that she had a big drunken row with her boyfriend and then stormed off.

Then she goes into a room with a few Thai guys and whether rape or not, they did have sex.

I am left wondering if these accusations are to merely cover her own embarrassment or to save her relationship.

Her boyfriend was in BKK, so no row. The alleged rape happened on a landing and not in a room.

I don't understand how several poster try to justify the incident, give fault to the girl, try to minimize the story because of the alcohol, etc.

I see with a sense of discomfort a kind of unhealthy antagonism men-women, that I guess, wrongly, was almost disappeared in 2013

They're terrible, and there's these other similarly deluded posters who seem over eager to paint men as rapists. I hope you can see fit to deal with both kinds.
