Indian Shop / Market

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Me and my GF are trying planning to move to Phuket. As she's Indian we'd appreciate any info on Indian shops / markets on the island. Here in BKK we have the India town where we can buy all the ingredients which she later turns into amazing indian dishes later at home.

i know thhere are Indian restaurants on Phuket so I guess they owners must buy their stuff somewhere. Any idea where?

Cheers

I make and sell Indian curries on Phuket.

I have to get all my spices shipped down from Bangkok.

You probably know the lady in Little India that does this for me.

PM me if you want her info

Oh forgot to say.Macro have quite a good spices section now ,not everything you need but most of it.

Still cheaper to ship from Bkk thou if you are buying in bulk.

Thank you starkey_rich!

I guess we'll stock up for a while and than use makro or friends visiting form BKK.

By the way - do you know If we can get a Bolo - Indian Calling Card - anywhere in Phuket?

regards,

There is a small Indian shop in the OTOP market in Patong. I have not bought spices etc there so cannot vouch for freshness etc but they seemed to have a reasonable range. I have a friend who owns 2 Indian restaurants and they get their spices from BKK.
