Terrible incident. What possesses someone to attempt such a thing is beyond me. I hope the girl in question can somehow put this event out of her mind and move on with her life. And I hope the offenders are anally raped in prison.

Well I hope they catch the guys and if true they do a stretch in the Hilton. Why do farangs have to rape farang women in Thailand when they could pay a thai girl from a bar 100 baht.

I mostly agree with you on many subjects...what you said here, though....well....just think about it again.

They probably spent more for the drinks and room than a working girl would have cost. Esp here in TL.

So if all they wanted was to dip their wick, this wasn't necessary. This wasnt about the sex.

My sympathies for the girl :(

catch'em,

then fry'em.

My interpretation is that the woman and the three men were staying at the same guesthouse . The woman said she passed out after the rape by the two other men ; so how would she know where the men slept or when they left the accomodation .

Women do take a grave risk , travelling alone in foreign countries , going to a bar and drinking alcoholic drinks , getting chatted up by strange men , getting drunk and having casual sex .

If you're going to post a news update, post from an English language site, this is the English language side of the forum after all.

When no news source in English wouldn't one in another language be good?

This is an English language site but there are plenty here with knowledge of other languages or know how to use google translate.

whistling.gif She agreed to have sex with one guy.

Friends wanted to join in.

She said NO, they insistesd.

She had the perfect right to say no.

Frankly, under the law, her saying no makes it rape.

So her story is entirely possible.

She can choose or refuse .... it's NOT the guy's choice, it's hers.

BY ANDERS HOLM NIELSEN

CHIANG MAI: -- Two Danish men have been detained by the Thai police in the popular tourist town of Chiang Mai.

The arrest has been confirmed by the Foreign Minstry’s Consular Service

However, Thai media reports that two 19 year old men have been detained in connection with the rape and beating of a 23 year old Dutch woman.

The alleged rape is reported of happening the night of February 25, and according to Thai media, the two young Danes were arrested yesterday.

A third person is also reported arrested but it is unknown which nationality this person has. It is also added that the two Danes claim innocent.

Rape and beating? Despicable. So what happened to the first guy? He invited his friends and allowed/encouraged it to happen? Should fry his ass also.

Again, despicable.

I really don't want to comment on this topic but feel compelled to. It is impossible at this stage for any of us to know if a rape did or did not take place. If it did then the men should be prosecuted accordingly but it's not unknown for women engaging in sexual activities that they wouldn't normally engage in if sober to have a change of heart the next day... what seems like a good idea when drunk often wasn't.

This is something I have personal experience of, in my youth a wild party, a certain girl usually very shy got out of control drunk and let's just say was very free with her affections... she didn't enjoy the reputation that fast spread following her activities and decided the best way to improve her image was to cry rape. People were arrested and much distress caused as a result, before the overwhelming evidence of consent was gathered and the CPS threw the case out before it got to court.

Again I am not saying this is the case here but we should hold off on our judgement of any involved unless we know the full facts.

But you haven't held off on your general judgment of drunken females have you?

Like the recent rape of the young Scots teacher in NST by a Thai, some people think that her 'I was too drunk defense' is precarious and I quite agree. However, with some of these drunken women likely to cry wolf 'the morning after', what sort of man decides that having sex is going to be free of such risk in the first place? If a woman's defense that she was intoxicated is generally considered dubious, then any 'man' confessing to having sex with a drunken woman and invariably claiming she said it was OK should also be firmly discounted. If she's drink, keep your pecker in your bloody pants fool!

To take advantage of a person who is incapacitated (drunk or

otherwise) and have sex with that person consensual or not, is indicative of a person

with defective moral character.

Permissive behavior by a person who is incapacitated is not be a green light to have your

way with the person, to the contrary it should be a red light to stop and find

help for that person.

They left 8 o`clock and bars close 1-2 o`clock !

Something is not matching up !

So she had sex and got raped, the men then slept in the same room and left 6 hours later ??

I not say she is lying, but there is things there have to be checked !!

The story does not match up !

Match up with what? Your opinion/speculation?

Hey girl, I want to have a drink with you, until you get drunk.

Is that really how it went down.

Sad and typical though that I hve read enough here to see that victims of rape are the ones who seem to be the people under suspicion. And we wonder why so many do not come forward only to have those rape again.

Not saying what the truth is, but what would she gain by saying she was raped?

This is the title to the article? What a bunch of idiots. She's claiming rape. This sounds like a porno or something more consensual. Who writes these things?

Here we go again.

As mentioned in a previous thread regarding a Scottish girl allegedly gang raped in Pattaya, having sex with an intoxicated woman is considered as rape under the law, whether she consents or not.

The solution is for the guys: avoid getting involved in these situations, you`re playing a dangerous game and Russian roulette with your freedom.

This is a cleverly worded question, in order to attract speculation and unfounded accusations. Don`t fool for this one, chaps.

At this time we don`t know and will have to wait until if and more details of this case are released.

The initial report was a rape, now it is a rape and a beating, and now the first guy whom she bonked consensually, is now being done for rape as well? Then of course there were the issue of times and the delays in everyone leaving (rapists usually don't hang around now do they?). This story keeps getting better and better. Let's all wait until all the facts are known. It could make a good Thai soap.
