Television / Internet Provision In Mountain Area

Having recently constructed a house in a mountain area near Ban Pong on the Hang Dong -Samoeng Road, I am hoping to set up a good TV / Internet service for my house. It appears the best ( or only ? ) option is to use a satellite system. I believe even this is sometimes difficult in terms of connectivity, speed etc. Can anyone advise me if this is a fruitless venture or is it possible to achieve a satisfactory service ? Mobile aircard and telephone cable seem to be non-starters.

I would imagine that if you live close to the Sameong loop road you might have a land line for a connection. But once up on the mountain sois, you must rely on wireless connections and the towers they build in the highland village areas are not really designed with internet connections in mind. At my home in the hills you can get wireless reception, but it is painfully slow. I prefer going into town every few days to check e-mail. So yes, having a home in the mountains is not for everyone.
