Great day out last year and money goes to charity.

Its not like the professional rallies you see on TV,its a fun day out

What is the event about? Drive around the island with own car, stop by scenery places and have lunch?

The rally make you to places you have never seen on the island. It is not a race but you have to take photos at certain points to prove you have been there. Included is lunch at the mini golf in Cherng Talay & dinner at Kan Eng @Pier. Check it out on http://phuketinvitational.com as it is a great fun day out & something different.

If anyone else is interested I suggest you go to the Chalong Pier Beer Garden (next to Kan Eng) & register. Best to go after 6pm & talk with Alan.

Peter C, don't worry too much about the navigator if you cannot get one as the driver can do both if necessary. Directions are fairly simple with distances shown plus a map is included in the kit.

I did not think it would be hard mate, but since we can take 2 more passengers in comfort i though there

may be people without a car who would enjoy a good cheap day out

The idea sounds great and will spread the knowledge what is on this island to the people who will participate. I afraid it's not possible for me to be awake at that time on Sunday morning. :)

(I would have to leave from my home before 7am to reach Chalong at 8am).

I hope you'll all have a great rally.

As long as you were there by 9.30 to 10 you could get plenty of good photos.

People at the rally seemed to have a good time.

When I left from my home and got out to the slightly larger road at Haad Kevin, I met one of your drivers with a very nice black Mercedes, wondering where is the beach which should be in the picture log. Was is supposed to be the beach in the front of Haad Kevin or the Supalai beach?

At the minigolf it was good to see Peter again, but I could not see Valentine anywhere.

Although there were several no shows some 45 cars still took part in the rally which included a good mixture of local Thai & expats. The organizers did a great job & comments from the participants were all positive. At the dinner/prizegiving medals were presented in several different categories with the team of former Momma Duck scooping 3 awards & the overall winner was a GOMS member. No doubt there will be photos posted in PG as well as a segment on their TV show. To oilinki I was at the start & finish but had to remain in Chalong to oversee some work on a pool.
